The Name and Logo
Byars Energy is named after my dad, Eugene Gary Byars. A surfer, an entrepreneur, a lover of the ocean and the sky, who taught me about airplanes, fishing, singing, dancing, and being goofy, being your own person, and taking care of your family.
The circle around the name represents
- the earth, the sun, the moon;
- the round table, equality, community;
- eternity, the universe, everything.
The abbreviation (BE) is a nod to the part of each of us that is connected to all things.

Rain Byars is the founder and Managing Partner of Byars Energy. Rain is a licensed professional Engineer and certified Project Manager with three decades of experience in onshore and offshore wind energy.
